Incremental Disk Image task stuck/stalled at Analyzing C for 8+ hours

Thread needs solution

Backup and Recovery 10.0.11133 Advanced Workstation
A nightly incremental disk image backup on a workstation will suddenly sit at "Running 0%" for a very long time. Looking at the logs of the machine having the issue it is stuck at "Analyzing partition 'C:'..." Looking at previous logs this has taken around 3 seconds.

What could trigger this sudden problem? This has happened on different workstations I haven been using in the last few weeks and I end up having to do an uninstall and delete all the Acronis information from the machine I can find and hope that it reinstalls correctly and then the backup policy gets assigned back in correctly.

Hello Dan,

Thank you for posting your question, I will be happy to help. Without additional information I can’t be certain of the issue. However from what you have told me this may be the possible solution.

Since the issue can be caused by the corrupted SnapAPI module, I can suggest you to update the program to the latest build (the complete reinstall is not required). This operation will update the components, and most probably the issue will be resolved.

We have just officially updated our Acronis Backup & Recovery line of products to the new build under the number of 11345. For more information on the improvements we've introduced in this build you can refer to this page.  Please log in to your account on our web site to download the installation file. You can learn more on how to download the latest build in this article

Update the program and check the functionality of Acronis software. If the issue remains, please copy the below folders from the computers with Acronis Agent and Acronis Management Server :
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Acronis
Also please let us know date and time of the program malfunction. Send me a Private Message, I will provide you with the account and credentials to upload the files to our FTP server.

Anyway, please let us know the results. Please let me know if the provided information is not clear or if you have any other question.

Thank you.
