Install Acronis License Server on an NAS

Hello, i wonder if is possible to install the Acronis License Server on a Synology NAS system, because some of our customers have these systems for backups. It will be great when we do not need to install the License Server on the running servers.

Maybe some have experience with this idea and help me.

Welcome to our Forum, we're glad to greet you here! I understand your concern and will be glad to assist you.

I regret to inform you that most likely this solution will not work: 

our License Server component supports only the following OSes:

  • Windows 2000 Professional SP4/XP Professional SP2+
  • Windows 2000 Server/2000 Advanced Server/Server 2003/Server 2008*
  • Windows SBS 2003/SBS 2008*
  • Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, Windows Server 2003/2008* x64 Editions
  • Windows Vista - all editions except for Vista Home Basic and Vista Home Premium
  • Windows 7* - all editions except for Windows 7 Starter, Windows 7 Home Basic, Windows 7 Home Premium

So unless you have one of these OSes installed onto NAS, License Server will not get installed. Should you have any of the above operating systems installed on your NAS - feel free to try the installation of our License Server onto it.
