Installing New Blank Hard Drive

Thread needs solution

Hi there, I just installed a new hard drive with nothing on it into my old computer. I put my old hard drive with my windows and all in a case so that it is now an external hard drive. My question is, how do I get the windows from the now external drive into my new internal drive. I need it there so I can use my upgrade to Windows 7 that I just purchased.

I'm assuming this program can do this, but I need to be walked through it step by step before I buy the product so i will know how difficult it is.

Can I just download the program onto my totally other laptop that works fine, make a boot disk for dos and somehow use that to copy Windows from my now external hard drive? Thanks for any help.

I already have my new hard drive installed and my old hard drive connected via USB, but when the instructions say to start the program, and I don't need windows to do it, I don't understand. How can start a program from a hard drive that has nothing on it? is this where I create the boot disk and boot it up from that without anything else on the hard drive? Thanks for any help.

You need either to install it on some other computer and create bootable media, or download the bootable media .iso file from you account and burn it to CD.
