Intel SSD X-25M Raid problems with Acronis Restore

Thread needs solution

I previously had 2 300GB velociraptors  in RAID 0 as my primary sytem drive. I have been using Acronis 10 and received a special ISO disc for recovery which worked fine. However, I just upgraded to 2 80GB intel SSD's (gen 2 X-25M) and when I go to restore the Acronis software shows each individual SSD drive but not the Raid.

What can I do to fix this do I need a new special recovery disc with additional drivers? I did properly setup the Raid using the raid setup utility of my Motherboard. Since I could not restore using image I did reinstall my OS which works fine but If I can't recover images Acronis is of no use to me. I'm looking for a solution.

I doubt Acronis will supply an updated version of TI 10. You could try the trial version of TI 2010 and see if it works.

If your backup image is located on an internal drive, you might also give the Safe Mode version of TI 10 a try.

The new trail version did the trick. Can now see the raid drive just fine. But now I got to cough up $50. Is there no discount?

You can purchase the upgrade version from Acronis. If the image you restored was a TI 10 image and the TI 2010 trial version worked with it okay, you could continue backing up with version 10 and just use the trial version of 2010 to restore. Just keep in mind that Acronis doesn't guarantee image compatibility more than one version back.
