Thread needs solution

Hi

Does anyone know how to get around the Acronis error code below.

Code: 11,468,816(0xAF0010) Module: /usr/lib/Acronis/BackupAndRecovery/mms Message: Failed to establish remote connection: Remote connections are disabled.

I have set up the AcronisAgentLinux.i686 on Red Hat Enterprise 5. The Backup & Recovery 10 Management console (Acronis Build 10.0.11345) is on Windows XP Pro.

The error is generated when i attempt to Manage a remote machine with the correct logon and password entered.

Any help would be much appreciated.

First http://kb.acronis.com/content/2966 , then check that license did not expire (i.e. agent grabbed license from license server and in column 'renewed', that is actually 'last time checked by agent' is not too long ago (15 or 30 days?), or in case of trial advanced version, trial period did not expire) and in case if you have to contact support , upgrade it to the last update (the will tell you to do so anyway, update1 is too old now)

ps - by the line

(!) This has been fixed. The fix is available in the latest released build of Acronis Backup & Recovery 10.

from that kb article, one may say that update may help, but it's not clear in what update that proble is supposed to be fixed; 'last updated Mar 29, 2010' can be a hint that it is fixed in no later than update2 (11639) but it may be as well fixed in early bulds. I could not find release notes for an arbitrary build number.
