Logging on with the specified credentials is impossible
Hello!
I am a satisfied user of Acronis Echo and a dissapointed user of Acronis Backup and Recovery...
After installing windows 7 i had to move from Acronis Echo, to the Acronis Backup and Recovery 10.
the problem is that i can't run any scheduled backups!!!! manual backup works like a charm.
i have applied the patch as Oleg mentions there http://forum.acronis.com/forum/8292 but no go. here are the errors that i get.
Of course i am typing the correct password, my pc has only one user, Sakis, with administrator rights.
Any ideas?
thanks in advance for your help. :)

- Check that you are still a member of Backup Operators and Acronis Remote Users group.
how do i check this?
- Check also that in services Acronis Managed Machine is enabled, started and set to automatic.
done. It was configured properly.
- Also check what the MMS logs on as - local system account, or as you are a single user as the specified user under This Account.
how do i check this?
- Have you tried deleting the task and schedule and starting again?
several times, after a lot of reboots.
- If that fails, then you might need to download the Acronis Task Zapper for ABR10 which will delete the tasks, perform some behind the scenes something or other to the scheduler service and then all should be well again.
what is this?
thanks for your help! :)

Sakis,
1. Right click on either My Computer (if shortcut on your desktop) or from the start button, right click on Computer.
In either case select Manage from the pop up menu.
In the left hand panel click and open up Local Users and Groups. Select Users, select your user name, click on the Member of tab (see attached png).
2. Go back into Services, double click on Managed Machine Services, click the log on tab (see attached png)
3. When I can find the link in the knowledge base to the ABR10 scheduler update I'll amend this post.
Found it!
