The machine name not appear in the admin console

Dears,

I have a problem... In the Acronis B&R 10 Management console I Add a linux (Centos 5.2) machine in order to have a centraliced administration, but in the All Phisical Machine sector the name of the machine no appear (the field is in blank). Only was register the IP address. The "information" panel show status OK, availability Online, Agent Installed, yhe operating system, processor, CPU clock and Ram memory utiliced. The Backup and Recovery option is not available (disabled). I modify the network configuration in the linux machine, I reinstall the consoles in the Acronis Server, but the problem persist. As a test, I installed other similar linux machine (Centos 5.2) and the result was OK. It present all the machine data.

Other test: If I delete the machine by abr_cleanup.exe whit Ip Address, It's founded and deleted.

Somebody can I help me.. Please???

There is a number of reasons that can cause this issue. There can be a problem with the SQL database that keeps all the necessary information about remote computers which are added to the Acronis Management Server. Have you tried clicking the refresh button a few times? Does it say anything when you select the Machine tab right below the word Information?

There could be an issue with the agent installation on the Centos machine. I can recommend to uninstall several components and then re-install the Acronis Linux Agent. During the installation, you will be prompted if you want to add this machine to the Acronis Management Server, please specify it there.

To uninstall the Agent for Linux, first of all, please remove the machine from the AMS.

After that, you can use the following commands to stop all the Acronis services and then uninstall the agent:

/etc/init.d/acronis_agent stop
/etc/init.d/acronis_mms stop

and then use these uninstall commands:

/usr/lib/Acronis/BackupAndRecovery/uninstall/uninstall

# rm -Rf /etc/Acronis
# rm -Rf /var/lib/Acronis
# rm -Rf /usr/lib/Acronis
# rm -Rf ~/.Acronis

We have an article in our Knowledge Base that shows how to uninstall a Linux agent manually, however, please note that there is no need to remove the SnapApi driver, it will save you some time during the re-installation, no need to recompile it again.

I am having the same issue. When I register a computer it does not show up in the management console. I have uninstalled and re-installed the agent on the client computer. I then attempted to add it to the console. All appeared to work correctly but the computer would not display in the console. I removed it using the script delete_machine_by_name.vbs. The script ran and indicated that it had been removed. I ran it a second time to verify and the script indicated that the computer object could not be found, verifying that it had been deleted. I then re-added it using the Add a machine to AMS. I specified the computer name and it appeared to add it again but it does not show up in the console. Any ideas?

I know this is a very old post, but did you happen to get an answer to this. I am seeing the exact thing.

I am having a similar issue with Acronis 11.7, after agent is installed, and machine is added to the management server,  NAME does not appear in AMS, only IP address, stats=us..etc.

this is urgent for, can you help?
