Managment Console Fails to install

Thread needs solution

I have installed all the products including the license server on a Windows XP box, but the Management Console fails to install.

I searched the errors on the Acronis web site and the indications is that the error was the result of a permissions issue (http://kb.acronis.com/content/10952). I attempted to re-install the failing component (Management Console) as the user that originally installed our previous version of Acronis True Image, which failed. The directions also indicate that the registry can be edited, this failed as well. I then uninstalled the previously installed Acronis True Image Management Console and attempted to install the latest Management Console, this also failed, restarted and retried. It
does appear that the old management console did not completely uninstall as there are shortcuts left behind but will not start. the old management console is no longer listed in Add/Remove Programs.

I cannot attach the complete log as it is larger than 15MB but I did attach a portion of the log.

Hello James,

Thank you for your message. I will definitely help you with this.

The install log cut that you provided us with unfortunately does not show any useful information. However, I found your support case with us that you opened regarding the same issue, and it appears to be resolved. Our support engineer asked you to perform several modifications of the registry.

Please let me know if you need additional assistance.

Thank you.
