Missing "Test Command" button from Pre/Post Commands ABR11 ADV WKS

Thread needs solution

Hi There,
I'm using ABR 11 Advanced Workstation (Build 11.0.17438); for some reason I unable to find "Test Command" in the Pre/Post Command window?

Anyone know whether this is a known bug?

Thanks

If you are creating centralized plan (on Management Server) or editing default backup options on it, 'Test' button will be missing. It's by design, as testing it imply running it to the machine you are currently connected to (AMS), and while executing the plan they will be executed on agents.

Hi Fedor,
Thanks for your reply.
You were correct, I was editing backup plans through Management server;
In this case, how do I run a testing on the command itself then? I just tried to connect to the machine locally but the "edit" Backup Plan button is greyed out?

Also, it gets me thinking... in this case, if I want to use Management server to control other clients, where should I put the batch file, should I create shared folder (which can be accessed by other clients) and put the batch file there?
Ps: Seems I unable to find the information about this Management Server Backup Plans under : http://www.acronis.com/support/documentation/ABR11/index.html#13881.html

Thanks again

Connect to any machine, go to 'default backup and recovery options' or create a new backup plan an go to its options.

Yes. If it doesn't work, you will have to put in on a local folder on each client.

What exactly did you look for? Working with pre-post commands in case of centralized plans? Or why 'edit' is disabled for centralized plan on when connected to an agent?
