Hello Brian,

Thank you for posting. I will do my best to assist you with this issue.

Most likely our software has difficulties accessing your backup file. Is it possible to to move the backup to another location?

The issue with the "GetFileInfo call of FileManager failed" error needs to be investigated. Please collect this report and contact our Support team directly for additional troubleshooting.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.

Anton, Thank you for the reply. I sent the file to support and referenced this forum entry. In the mean time I guess I have a reason to get a new external USB HDD and see if that works.

"Most likely our software has difficulties accessing your backup file. Is it possible to to move the backup to another location?"

Or change the directory's protectiom....

Renee

Yesterday I emptied my external USB HDD, today i am copying the 250GB image to the USB HDD. I'll test this as soon as I can but it doesn't really solve my problem. I need to be able to use the images that are on the NAS.

I have moved the image to an external USB HDD and get the following error message when trying to mount the image.

Hi Brian,

Thank you very much for the follow-up.

We have a known issue in our software where an image located on an external hard drive fails to mount with the error message: 'The versions of the modules are incompatible'. We have successfully resolved this issue in the latest build, I am fairly confident that it will work this time.

As for the issue when the image is located on a network share, we will need to investigate it.

Could you please try placing the back on the network share, launch the wireshark utility, try mounting the backup and send our support representative the wireshark log? Please perform these steps using the latest build of ABR10 as well.

If you need additional help or have any questions about your Support case feel free to send me a private message.

Thank you.

After a week out of the office I came back and tried again and now everything appears to be working. I didn't upgrade or change anything. Maybe I just needed to reboot my laptop.

Mounting the image from an external USB HDD works.

Mounting the image from a network drive that has been mapped in windows and found under local folders in Acronis works.

Mounting the image from a network drive found under network folders in Acronis works.

I really wish I new what was going wrong before, and hope it doesn't happen again.
