Mouse and Keyboard Failure

Thread needs solution

Is anyone else having this problem? I have used Acronis "for years." I updated to Home 2010 and, when I boot from the CD, I have no mouse or keyboard support (never had this issue with any previous version).

I contacted tech support. They had me download the latest CD image ... same problem. Tonight I contacted tech support and they said the problem was that legacy access had to be disabled in the BIOS. I thought this was strange since it never had to be before. I disabled it and, not only did I still not have mouse and keyboard support when the CD booted, but I didn't have mouse and keyboard support when dual booting to either XP or Windows 7.

Someone needs to find a solution to this, or Acronis has to give me the old version that worked.

Dave, I have exactly the same problem! I've contacted the support chatroom about 6 times now and still no fix...USB legacy didn't help with me either, nor did the ISO that I downloaded. Even tried a USB boot media version, still no mouse/keyboard. Supposedly, my support has been sent to Tier 2 support (whatever that means) after I sent them my computer configuration. Haven't heard a word from anyone in days now! I'm using Win7 also but no longer have it dual booting. Funny thing is...my TI-2009 Boot Media CD works fine! Mouse and keyboard function as they should! I now have about 7 wasted CD's that can't be used to boot my Win7 computer. I'm hoping that if anything happens to my computer, I can use the TI-2009 Boot Media to backup my computer if need be...at least it works!
