No backups after ESXi hosts ip change - ABR 11

Thread needs solution

2 days ago we changed the ESXi hosts ip adressess due to network migration.

No backups are run from that time - I can see still the old ip adressess mapped to host in AMS Console.

What should be done after ESXi hosts ip were changed ? I can't find the way to change it manually.

Shoud I then assign licenses as well to new ip's ?

Hello Robert,

Thank you for your posting! Please re-add the virtual appliance to AMS: remove the appliance and add it again via new IP-adress.

Thank you,

Dear Ekatarina,

Thank you for your reply.

I have no virtual apllances in my environment (no Acronis vms on hosts), it is all managed from Windows AMS agent (which is vCenter server as well).

It there any way to re-run some istallation wizard again (the way it doesn't delete the vaults) ? Or just delete everything and add from the scratch ?

Hello Robert

If you are using an Windows-based Agent for backup of virtual machines, plese re-add this Agent to the AMS. The new installation of the Agent will not remove existing vaults. Here you will find the instructions for the installation.

Thank you,

That was really good advice - now backups are running !

Thank you very much, Ekaterina :)
