Not enough privileges to back up disks and volumes
I'm evaluating the new version of backup and restore, but when I try to do a remote backup of a Windows 7 computer I get the error "Not enough privileges to back up disks and volumes"
I checked all the permissions, etc. suggested in this thread -- http://forum.acronis.com/forum/10211 -- but the account under whic Acronis is running has all the correct permissions.

Hello Sean Redmond,
Thank you very much for your post. I will do my best to resolve this for you.
Can you please clarify the following. When you installed the Acronis Agent on your Windows 7 machine, did you specify your user account or you let our software create an Acronis Agent User account? In case you used your user account, please check page 13, Chapter 2.1.3 of the following installation guide, and make sure that the user has the following priviliges:
- Log on as a service right
- Adjust memory quotas for a process right
- Replace a process level token right
- The user is included in the Backup Operators group.
If the solution provided does not resolve the issue, please submit a support request with an AcronisInfo report from that Windows 7 machine and we will be able to resolve this for you.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thank you.

Apologies for this hijacking of the thread, but we are facing the same issue.
In our case, we let the installer create the Acronis Agent user account. When I connect to a remote Windows 7 computer and try to create a new backup policy with Source Type of Disk/volumes, the management GUI indicates "Not enough privileges to back up disks and volumes."
Both the management computer and the remote computer are in workgroup setup.

It is, yes, at the level "Default - Notify me only when programs try to make changes to my computer". Company policy prevents me from downgrading UAC -- is this necessary for remote management?

See 2.13.7 - "Privileges for remote connection in Windows" in userguide. Either connect using built-in administrator or join the domain. This restriction seems not to apply when deploying policies to the machine that is already added to the Management Server.

We have the same issue: Message reads: Not enough privileges to perform the operation with the disks. The 'Backup files and directories' (SeBackupPrivilege) and 'Restore files and directories' (SeRestorePrivilege) privileges are required.|Additional info: |--------------------|Error code: 63|Module: 149|LineInfo: 91b3bd92e4c7d87b|Fields: $module : disk_bundle_vs|Message: Not enough privileges to perform the operation with the disks. Windows 7 Machine, users log into a domain, users have been secured so they cannot install software.
Thoughts?

Not sure what privileges 'users have been secured' are missing , but if limited user has no necessary privileges, it won't be able to backup disks. So if you need to backup disks, you need to create users with necessary privileges, and use their credentials to connect to this machine ( or connect locally while logged on under such user)
