One Acronis depot (or storage location) on multiple backup medias

Hi all,

in our company we want to backup our Win2008 Server data via Acronis B&R onto a set of external USB hard drives. Our plan would be to attach one of the disks to the server on Fridays, create a full backup via Acronis over the weekend, and an incremental backup each night during the week. Then, next friday, we would exchange external hard disk, followed by a full backup ontro that again, and so forth.

Is there any best practice to achive this? As far as I understand there is no option to span one Acronis Depot over multiple backup medias (USB hard disk in our case). Ok, but how to solve this issue then? Do I have to create multiple distinct recurring backup jobs in Acronis B&R, one for each external hard drive?

Simplified archive naming ( http://www.acronis.com/support/documentation/ABR11/#10483.html ) may be what you need. You need to ensure that all external disks you attach will get the same drive letter.
