Outlook pst file question

Thread needs solution

We had a serious system crash last week and among everything else, I had to recover our user's outlook pst files. All but one got recovered to the most recent backup. The one that didn't is the problem.

On every backup set for the past 5 weeks, the most recent version of the file is from Nov 2010 yet any other file in the folder where it resides is current. Why is the current copy of this particular pst file not being backed up? The user's Outlook program is closed and he is logged off his computer at end of day.

Appreciate someone's answer to this so I can prevent this in future backups.

We need to investigate the particular system to name the possible reasons of the problem and it might take relative long time since many things need to be checked.
