Poor Image Quality Recovery CD

Thread needs solution

Info: Windows XP Home, TI home 2009, Dell Dimension 3000

After creating a recovery CD I wanted to check its integrity by booting from it. The graphic interface was really bad. I could hardly make out the operations I was to perform.

Is this common or is there some action I should take prior to creating a recovery CD in order to improve the quality of graphics?

Thanks,

For B&R 10, you can press F11 at the Acronis CD menu and add the vga=ask command. Then boot the Agent normally. Press ENTER when prompted and you'll be shown a list of resolutions and color depths. You can select one to try.

For TI 2009, you can't directly select the resolution used by TI (the vga=ask option isn't available). However, if you setup a flashdrive using Grub4DOS and add the appropriate commands to the kernel, you may be able to find a setting that works correctly. More information can be found in this thread.
