Problem in backing up QNX4 partition

Thread needs solution

Hello.

I wish to use Acronis Backup & Recovery to backup a QNX4 partition on a PC. I wish to do a sector-by-sector backup of the partition to a sufficiantly big USB stick.

The partition is only 8Gb is size. No other partitions exist on the HDD.

When I boot using Acronis, it doesn't even detect and HDD partitions. When I look to see the different partitions, it says that no disk has been detected, and that there is nothing to display.

I am able to see the USB stick I intended to use as a target destination, but this is not what I want to backup.

Any help so that I can see the QNX4 partition, if it is possible, would be much appreciated.

Stéphane.

If it doesn't see the disk, it looks like hardware compatibility problem. (Does it see the disk in navigation->disk management? ). If latest update doens't help, you may try WinPE-based bootable media ( http://kb.acronis.com/content/24254 ) If Vista or Windows 7 install CD sees the disk, this should work without iinjecting additional drivers to WinPE media.

After further tests, it does appear to be a hardware issue. i will change the HDD and test further.
Thanks for the assistance.
