Problems with Acronis B&R v10 build 11345 (Boot-CD)
On a new, out-of-the-box Dell Optiplex 380 (bios A00), the boot cd successfully gets to the Acronis Bootable Agent screen. It does recognize the network card and obtain an IP address. However, moving forward and selecting "run management console" is where the issue starts. I make it to the next screen, the management console, for about one second...then the PC reboots. Every time.
There's really nothing to troubleshoot here (defaulted bios settings have not been an issue previously), so I'm hoping for an updated build of the bootable CD, if that's possible.

I ran into the same problem with a new Dell Optiplex 780.
As it turned out it was a problem with one of the partitions of some kind, after cleaning the disk via diskpart -> clean the Acronis Bootable Agent didn't reboot anymore.
Originally the disk contained 3 partitions, the first being a special OEM 100MB partition and the other two contained a working Windows 7 Pro installation and some other partition.

Having a similar issue with Snap Deploy 3. I am trying to create an image of a customer GX 380 on our server. I am able to boot from PXE, so there is communication from the server to the PC. The server registers the computer in DHCP. When the Acronis wizard boots , if I try to configure the network card, none is listed. Going to the next screen , the network is not seen. I have tried the boot CD also with no success. I was sent another boot CD ISO by support with no success. I have tried multiple network ports and cables with no change. I cannot help but think that this must be some kind of driver issue with the new hardware in the GX 380. Possibly the same hardware is in the 780? Anyway, any ideas?

Ok, if I add an old PCI card everything works as it should using that card. Does this mean there is an issue with the drivers for the new onboard NIC? Adding a card would not be a satisfactory fix , so is there a way to update the network drivers that acronis uses?

I HOPE someone is monitoring these posts! I also have an Optiplex 380 that will not find the network when booting from the Acronis CD (build 8206 or 8398) - if I boot the machine to Windows 7, it finds our entire network just fine, but Acronis does not see anything under "Computers Near Me."
I have been using this procedure for years at work and have never run across this problem.
Could someone PLEASE help???

I have used the 11345 BootCD on a server and it wouldn't see the NIC. I then used an older version bootCD on the same server and it worked fine.

I'm probably just stating the obvious here to most but figured it still wouldn't hurt to cover a couple basics just in case it might have been overlooked.
For the network connectivity issue, when setting up the bootable cd from the Acronis Bootable Media Builder wizard, on the screen where you "Specify options of the bootable media", under Common settings > Network settings, just a couple things to double-check:
1) Network Inteface Card: there's a pulldown menu; verify that you are configuring the correct NIC in case there is more than one in the pc you are configuring the bootable media for. E.g. in mine the first, default, choice for "NIC1:some mac address XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX" is usually a wireless for me, but I want to used the wired connection choice which is usually listed as "NIC2: Local Area Connection".
If uncertain about which is which then I usually just open a Cmd prompt and run a "ipconfig /all" command to see which is which by mac and ip addresses and and then select in the Acronis wizard accordingly.
Under Common settings > Network port
2) the default "9876" has always worked for me but you may want to verify, or manually set, any firewall's settings to allow/trust, and not block, it.
As I said, this will be stating the obvious to experienced admins and users and probably of no help but what the heck.

Thank you for your post, but no luck here. There are no options available under the NIC setting; it is like it does not even recognize a NIC is installed.

Same issue here..no NIC is even recognized. I am going to have to use an add in card that Acronis does recognize just to get the target PC's imaged. What a pain.

Support Forum # 8539 -- same issue.
I have been communicating with Acronis Tech Support, via phone and email; I have obatined the newest .isos from them and the problem for me is still unresolved.
I have attempted Snap Deploy latest and greatest too; no luck there either.
Hmmm... wonder if it is time to switch imaging software?

Tech Support says new version will fix this issue in the next month (or two...)

Hello all,
Let me address the issues reported here.
I would like to thank bboyer for the correct recommendations, please try them before follow the suggestions I provided below.
I have found the following situations:
1. Acronis Snap Deploy Bootable Agent reboots at the deployment startup
This issue can be caused by many factors (such as lack of connection between PC's, lack of correct licenses in License Server etc).
First of all, please make sure you use the latest build of the software (3329).
You can download all necessary files from Registered products and downloads section in your account.
If you have not registered your product on our web site yet, we recommend to do it in order to receive free updates.
- Choose Product registration
- Enter the serial number for your Acronis product in the corresponding field.
After that, please make sure that you have enough licenses in your License Server, try setting the address of Acronis License Server manually via IP or DNS name of the computer where Acronis License Server is installed. This can be done only during the installation of Acronis OS Deploy Server, when you are prompted for the address of Acronis License Server.
If the computers pending for deployment and Acronis License Server are in different subnets, then you need to make sure that the router properly forwards multicast requests. This is vital since Acronis License Server is discovered by the target machines via multicast. However it relates only to the case if Acronis OS Deploy Server is installed with the Automatically find License Server in network option.
If this still does not help and you're facing the same issue, let's check the logs for OS Deploy Server according to this article. Please collect them and attach to your answer in this thread.
2. The issue with network detection in Acronis products: this can be related to lack of the drivers in our bootable media, or to connection issue.
I'd recommend you to download the version which is based on another loader (the version has some extended list of drivers and startup parameters). We have implemented the possibility to download the appropriate ISO file after logging into your account (the serial number should be registered). This option is available for the current and (n-1) versions. Please log in to your account, go to the Registered products and downloads section -> Bootable media. Download the file.
To get access to the ISO you should first register Acronis software.
You can find more information on how to burn an ISO image to a CD here.
If this still does not help, please collect Acronis Linux Report according to this article.
Then submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the issue appears and the link to this thread. Then please provide me with the case number you receive from our system, so I can pick it up and speed up the process. We will do our best to investigate the problem and provide you with a solution.
Additionally to this, you are welcome to ask me any other questions concerning Acronis, and I will assist you further.
Thank you.

Hello Alvin!
Welcome on Acronis Forum and thank you for finding time to report about the issue!
Alvin, I'm willing to help you with the issue, but could you please first kindly specify whether you have tried solutions listed above and whether there were any changes? Should the problem persist, please gather the information requested by Alexander and attach it to your reply or PM which you can send to any Forum moderator.
Thank you!

Hi Yana,
I can boot to backup with the new release ISO. Thanks!
Funny thing is I had many IBM HS20 (same part number), but some able to boot up with the previous boot disc and some have to use new release ISO boot disc.

Dear Alvyn!
Thank you for your comment and for keepin us updated! I'm glad to know that the issue finally got resolved and you are all set at the moment!
This behavior may seem strange, but most possible it happens due to our kernel fails to identify the hardware properly on some machine. This may be easily workarounded by using newer Bootable Media on all the machines.
Thank you once again for finding time to notify us that newer *iso did help to overcome the difficulties!
Should you need anything else - just let us know, we will be happy to assist!

I had this issue with my Dell machines. The Acronis recovery CD could not read the encrypted recovery partition that Dell creates on a new computer.
So what do you do? Well, the fix is easy...
Boot from a Windows disk and delete all partitions, especially the recovery partition.
Now boot to the Acronis disk and watch the problem magically disappear! (Or at least it did for me.)
