Problems to backup clients with windows home OS (remote)

Thread needs solution

Dear all,

I want to go for centralized Backup with Rescue and Recovery Advanced 10 soon for all our clients.
At the moment I am using the trial version.

Unfortunately will still have some clients with XP/Vista Home OS.

Managing remotely the other OS (Pro) is no problem so far.

But if I want to remote manage a backup for a XP/Vista Home client it asks to specify my credentials for this client. After I entered this correctly nothing happens and it asks me to do it again and again.

- I took care for firewall setting and correct password. - Actually I can contact the client but don't get the access to manage the machine.

I hope anyone can help.

Thanks a lot in advanced

The user manual states that "Remote connection to the agent installed on Windows Home editions is not possible" or that
If machine is Vista, there is UAC enabled and machine is not in domain (it isn't because it's Home version) then you can connect only with built-in administrator account.

However you may try to run management console on the machine, connect to it locally and change machine management type to 'centralized' in machine options, specifying management server address.
