Problems with Grub4DOS and ABR11AW
Hello,
I've been using Mudcrabs method for Grub4DOS booting Acronis ISO images on USB flash drives for many years without issue. With the introduction of ABR11AW, it seems this process is hit or miss. About 50% of time I create one, I get "Error 60: the file for emulation is not contiguous" when booting. To get the flash drive working, I have to format and redo the Grub4DOS process sometimes multiple times before getting it to work. When the flash drive does work, I can copy the ISO image from that drive, create another USB flash drive (new out of the box) using Grub4DOS and run that ISO with the same issues. I don't know if this problem is related to the way Acronis makes the ISO image or if its the SANDISK model flash drive I'm using. Any comments from experienced users would be helpful. Thanks.

The way I fixed this problem was to use Acronis Disk Management built into ABR11. I delete the volume, create the partition and make the primary active on the USB stick. After this, I have no other issues even using the same iso files I had before. I could get the defective stick working by adding "--mem", but I want to load from the drive, not into RAM. I have a couple different brands of USB sticks and this solution fixed it all.
