Thread needs solution

Hallo zusammen,

ich habe folgendes problem:
Bei einigen meiner Acronis Installation (B&R 10 Advanced Workstation) wird nach einiger Zeit die Lizenz deaktiviert. Das ist zumindest beim erstellen des Backup Plans zu sehen. Im License Manager sieht soweit alles gut aus. Auch ein einfaches entfernen und hinzufüger der Lizenz reicht nicht aus! es kann ja nicht sein, dass ich alle 60 tage den agent neu installieren muss!
Zur installation: es ist klassische standart installation. Vorgekommen ist das schon sowohl auf einem win XP prof. Sp3 als auch auf einem win7 ultimate x64.

From my end I will do my best to assist you with this issue. It looks like Acronis License Server is not discoverable in the network. We have a fix for this. Could you please follow the instructions mentioned in this KB article

Should the issue persist, we will need to take a closer look at the issue. Could you please gather the following information: 

  1. Exact sequence of steps performed before you encountered this issue
  2. Acronis Info from the machine in question
  3. Where the License Server is installed.

After that please kindly contact support directly with the information attached. Keep in mind that should there be any procrastination with the reply, you can always specify us the case number. We will do our best to speed up the process.

I've got the same problem. I think it is better to post a possible solution for other people who have the same problem, like me.

we had the same problem. The sollution is:
We uninstalled our previous installation of Acronis 11. Then we searched in the registry for acronis and deleted all relevant keys, followed by a reboot. Now we installed the new 11.5 and restarted again. The license now keeps activated.

Or try this:

* Stop Acronis Managed Machine Service
* recall all licenses of the client
* open regedit
* delete all Values of the registry key HKLM\SOFTWARE\Acronis\BackupAndRecovery\LicensesInfo
* delete all subkeys of HKLM\SOFTWARE\Acronis\Licenses
* check if HKLM\SOFTWARE\Acronis\MMS\Configuration\License contains correct values. More often than you think, there's rubbish in those values.
* start AMMS again
* reassign license.

This is the only thing (except complete uninstall & cleanup & reinstall) that fixes the all too frequent licensing bugs for me.

Best would be for Acronis to actually fix the licensing mechanisms - I'll take bets :)

In my case the value of "LicenseServerAddress" in HKLM\SOFTWARE\Acronis\MMS\Configuration\License was empty?!?
I just entered the correct address and reassigned the license: Help > Change license.
This was all, no services to restart or anything else.

Hi,

If the key LicenseServerAddress is not present, you can create it (right click -> create String Value), specify the IP address of the machine where the License Server is installed.
