recovery with trial of acronis true image 2010

Thread needs solution

hello there
I have a dell inspiron 6000 laptop and i have a loading PBr 2.....done with underneath a disk read error occurred and i have tried the free trial acronis true image 2010 and it does not work. i get a menu with 2 options namely acronis true image home (full version) and bellow windows. when i press windows i have the PBR 2 same thing and if i press acronis true image home i get the menu with either back up or recover and when i chose recover disk i get a recovery wizard totally useless cos i have no back up. it also gives me a choice either for a disk backups or file backups and browse facilities which when broused gives me 4 locations and at the bottom file name and files of type.
I chose local disk C which seems logical but it does not ok it.
Could you help here cos it seems very complicated to me at that level.
I truly think that for a pbr 2 problem acronis true image 2010 is not going to help.
Maybe iam wrong
thanks

Hello gingersocks,

Thank you for your interest in [[http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/ | Acronis True Image]]

I chose local disk C which seems logical but it does not ok it.

Actually, the exact moment is unclear. Does any error message appear? Could you please provide us with the screen shot or the photo of the screen made by your digital camera?

If you are not familiar with making screen shots, please read the below step-by-step instructions.
- Get to the window which you want to make a screen shot of;
- Hit the (Alt+)PrintScreen button on your keyboard;
- Run Paint usually available in Start\Programs\Accessories or another graphics application;
- Choose Paste command in Edit menu;
- Save the result picture in JPEG format being preferable.
Also you can view several video tutorials for Acronis True Image Home 2010 available on YouTube. I have found this one, you can search for another video tutorials there.
