[RESOLVED] Access denied regarding Vault

Thread needs solution

After 1 successful backup I cannot access the vault. I have 2 locations, one for DeDuplication and one for non. When I try to do anything related to the vault I get a popup "Access Denied -Specify Credentials To Access (Vaultname)" It doesn't actually say Vaultname it shows the name of the vault I'm trying to connect to. The locations are on an external NAS connected through iSCSI and show up as local drives. The system is Windows 7 64bit with 32GB ram. I can get to the files and it doesn't have any permission problems.

Things I've done:
Changed the services to run as a domain admin which is included in the Acronis Centralized Admins
Changed the services to run as a local admin which is included in the Acronis Centralized Admins
Wiped out the computer completely and re-installed the OS and Acronis software & created new vaults.
Logged in locally as an admin
Logged in as a domain admin user
Added the domain admin credentials to Acronis

Indexing seems to show running but never completes. I've left it for over 24hrs and the Data to index size does not change.

I've searched the forums and tried doing anything I could find that other people did to fix this type of problem and nothing seems to help. Figured I'm missing something and could really use the help

Hello Daniel Williams,

Thank you for posting this question in our forum.

Can you please clarify, if you are using Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 or 11.5? In your account I only could find licenses for version 11.

For installation of Acronis Backup & Recovery, you should use a real admin user to ensure to have the necessary rights.

Depending of your version, the indexing of the deduplication might take long time. Please see this two articles about deduplication best practices:

If you need additional assistance, please create a system report of the affected machine and contact support. You will find all available support options in our Customer handbook.

If there is anything else we can do for you, please let me know.

Thank you.

My apologies it is 11.0 not 11.5, I get the indexing taking a while but my problem is accessing the vault. If I try to setup a new plan or validate or any task when I select the vault I get access denied and a prompt for credentials. When I installed all of this I did it under and administrator account. I'm lost on why I'm getting accessed denied.

Hello Daniel Williams,

Thank you for your reply.

When you go in the left navigation tree on the centralized vaults and click there on the related vault, that you could not access, can you enter the credentials in the format 'domain\user' or 'domain.local\user' or 'user@domain'. If you get access using this format, then this should also work when creating a new backup plan.

If there is anything else we can do for you, please let me know.

Thank you.
