[RESOLVED] Backup of one server taking a long time.

Thread needs solution

Now when I say a long time it ran for 3 days and only got to 28% and listed another 10 days to go.

The server is 2008 Enterprise 64bit so a similar build to most of my other servers. It runs Team foundation server but for some reason only backs up at 170KB/s.

Has anyone else encountered this or know why it could be doing this, no errors nothing in the event logs on either the AMS or the machine to be backed up. Everything else works fine and all other backups have no problems, I have tried it in several different VSS modes.

Acronis Customer Central is working on this issue.

Assuming it's a disk backup of a physical machine (not agentless), is the speed the same if you create a file backup of some folder , or set backup destination to a local folder?

Sorry should have said its a VM using the agent....will try the folder back up..but yes its a full disk backup.

Hi,

Thanks for the upgrade but given your response Im not sure you understand the problem. All other servers backup at a rate of around 25-30MB/s but only one or two run at 200-300KB/s for no apparent reason. Ive been working with your support via email over this and Im not convinced anyone knows why.

In order to upgrade to version 11.5 do I need to completely remove the old version first or will I be able to upgrade without losing everything?

Thanks.
