Restore of Backups from Boot CD

Thread needs solution

Hi

We are running into serious problems restoring from CD.

We are licensed for Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 for Workstations with Universal Restore.

We made backups of HP xw 4600 Workstations running Windows XP by booting from the Acronis CD, we backup it directly to DVD and now that we want to restore some of the systems it complains about archive file not found.

Please can someone help us, is there settings I need to change???? Is all that backups we made useless now????

Welcome to our Forum! Thank you for finding time to report about the issue.

Unfortunately it's hard to tell what exactly went wrong due to the lack of information, but before we proceed with investigation I'd like to suggest you a workaround:

Open the DVD containing the backup on any suitable machine and change it location to be on external HDD or network drive, or etc. After that please try to restore the image once again and tell us the result.
