Restore WindowsXP 32 bits in Hardware 64 bits (Error 0x0000007B)
Hello. I´m sorry, my english is very poor.
I can not restore a backup for Windows XP Prof. 32 bits in a PC hardware 64 bits.
When Windows run, appear Blue Screen Error (0x0000007B), and the system RESTART constant.
In the Universal Restore, I include the drivers SATA 32 bits that I believe that they are correct.
The same error is with 2 differents PC:
- Compaq Presario CQ61-300ES
- Packard Bell A2576SP
¿Where is my error?
Thanks!

Sorry again.
Before the Universal Restore, I included ALL the drivers with .inf (20 drivers aprox), and the error is the same.
I included the Chipset Drivers and Sata or Raid controller.
I restore 20 pcs to month, and never I had problem, but any pc 64bits I can´t restore my .tib (32 bits).
Addition to the SATA/RAID drivers... Is needed included any driver more for 64 bits pcs??
Thanks and sorry for my english

Dear Carlos,
do not worry, your English is wonderful.
I have just contacted our Development team to find out whether we have any issues with restoring 32bit system onto 64bit hardware. They replied that we never had any issues with it.
And since you have specified all the drivers, the issue should be in Acronis Universal Restore.
In order to localize the problem I need to provide you with the modified Acronis Universal Restore bootable media, but for it I need to know the exact version of the product you are using - could you please kindly specify it to me?
As soon as you reply, I will immediately send you the media with the ste-by-step instructions. I'm positive we will be able to resolve the problem - we just need to find out the exact reason of it.
I highly appreciate your cooperation and will be looking forward for your kind reply!
Thank you!

Hello again.
My versions are:
- Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 v. 10.0.11105 with Universal Restore
- Acronis Media Builder
Both software in Spanish.
What you need more? Thank you

Dear Carlos,
thank you for the information provided. I appreciate your cooperation.
First of all I would advise you to update the software since the build you are using (11105) is an outdated one. The latest is 11345, and can be obtained from your account. Please register you products here. After that you will be able to download your products from here. I would suggest you to perform the following actions:
- Uninstall the 11105 build
- Install 11345 build
- Recreate Bootable Rescue Media with Acronis Universal Restore
- Test restoration once again. Please exclude all plug-and-play devices drivers (drivers for network card, audio, video, etc. Let only chipset and RAID controller drivers get installed)
I would also be glad if you could kindly be more specific and let me know the exact version of Acronid Backup and Recovery. Is it Advanced Workstation or Standalone Workstation?
I will be very grateful if you could kindly register the license of the product and install the latest build of the software - without it I won't be able to provide you with further assistance.
Please also note that you can always contact support directly for further assistance - we have Spanish support engineers as well!
Should something confuse you - let us know by leaving a comment with the details, we will be glad to help!
Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

Hello again.
In my PC (Packard Bell A2576SP), when I restore an image (32 bits),
The full error message when Windows stops loading is: STOP: 0x0000007B (0xBA4EF528, 0xC0000034, 0X00000000, 0Xx00000000)
The chipset for my pc is Nvidia 8200, and I included in the universal restore the drivers SATA_IDE for the chipset drivers.
The drivers is in : http://www.nvidia.es/object/nforce_winxp_15.45_es.html
But I can not boot my pc with an Universal Restore.
In the bios, I set SATA = IDE.
Can I set SATA as AHCI? or as IDE?
Thanks and I´m sorry for my english

I am Carlos again.
One more detail. When finish restore an image (32 bits in my Packard Bell), Acronis show me an message like "need a driver pnp0c14".
Is this the cause that Windows no boot and appear the message: "STOP: 0x0000007B (0xBA4EF528, 0xC0000034, 0X00000000, 0Xx00000000)" ???????
What is "pnp0c14" exactly ?

Hello Carlos Patidifuso,
I want to thank you for your messages and I will be very happy to help you.
The stop message 0x0000007B is a clear indication that the operating system is missing those critical chipset and raid controller drivers, that Yana wrote about in her previous post.
You mention a download link for your drivers. It looks like they are packaged in an .exe package. Did you try extracting them? It is important that the drivers for Acronis Universal Restore should should have *.inf, *.sys or *.oem extensions.
You can definitely try setting SATA to IDE and try to change them around.
The pnp0c14 is a Windows driver, I am very sure it is not causing this stop message. You can read more about this driver in this article.
You can also refer to this article from our Knowledge Base that explains step-by-step how to recover to dissimilar hardware -
- Restoring to Dissimilar Hardware with Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Universal Restore.
If none of my solutions worked and you need immediate assistance please submit a support request.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thank you.
