Restoring backup from Acronis rescue disk and Bart PE boot disk.

Thread needs solution

Hi everyone,
When I restore my system from the Acronis disc, the required time displayed is 8 hours.I never went that far as I stopped it.But the way it goes, it seems that it will really take that long.

However, when I boot the computer from the Bart PE disk, it takes approximately 30 minutes.
How can this be explained? My HDD weights 39 GB.
Thank you.

Hello Babac!

Thank you for posting the question, I will be glad to help you with it!

According to the information you have specified, you are using Acronis True Image Home 10. This version is an outdated one, and based on the old Linux kernel, where drivers weren't updated for a long time - that's why this version of the Acronis Bootable Rescue Media you are using may require additional time for recovery. Bart-PE Acronis Bootable Rescue Media has the latest drivers installed, so it has better communication with the hardware and may speed up the process greatly.

Unfortunately I couldn't find any information related to the product on your account, so could you please kindly go and register the license you own here in your account?

I would also advise you to upgrade to the Acronis True Image Home 2010 - the upgrade is only 40% from the total price - this version is more reliable and has additional features implemented. I would advise you to test the solution first to decide whether it suits you, you can find the demo version here. You can also find more information about the product in the respective User's Guide.

Should you have any further questions - do not hesitate to ask us, we will be glad to help!

Thank you

Hi Yana and thanks for these explanations.
I think I'm going to stay with Acronis Home 10 and boot with Bart PE.
I do not trust at all Acronis True Image Home 2010,which is currently running on its 3rd build ,after approximately one year only.
