saving backup-images to FAT vs NTFS

Hello.

We are comtemplating what filesystem(FAT vs NTFS) should be used as destination path/fs for saving our backup-images to...

- Performance is not really important to us.
- on FAT filesystems, large images are spillted into many 2 GB chunks, what makes them harder to handle (e.g. when saving/replicating them manually to other backup storage)
- FAT can be easier accessed and written to from different OSs

Are there other important facts to consider when choosing the filesystem for Acronis backup-images?
