Screen stops at Attempting to Boot from CD-ROM, Starting Acronis Loader...

Thread needs solution

I created the boot cd from the same type of workstation, a HP/Compaq dc7700 Convertible Minitower. I have enabled onboard RAID 1 on the same type of workstation and am trying to use the bootable cd to access the Acronis interface to restore a backup to this new workstation from a network share location.

The screen is just sitting at Starting Acronis Loader... will not actually start the bootable cd.

Does anybody have any suggestions what I might be able to try?

Thanks

Steve

Hello Steve,

Thank you for taking time to contact us.

To make Acronis Rescue CD bootable please try the following workaround:

- Boot the computer from Acronis Rescue CD (Full version);
- Hit F11 key after the "Starting Acronis Loader..." message appears and you get to the selection screen of the program;
- After you get the "Linux Kernel Settings" prompt, please add "acpi=off noapic" parameter (without quotes) to the end of the Linux kernel command line (so it will be "quiet acpi=off noapic");
- Click OK button.

See if the issue remains.

I can also propose you to try Acronis Rescue CD  based on ISOLINUX. ISOLINUX Bootable Media is usually more up to date than the Acronis Loader one. This is due to the fact a new version of Acronis Bootable Media is uploaded to the website more frequently than regular product updates are released. In general, if there is any issue with booting working from the regular Acronis Bootable Media (based on Acronis Loader), it is recommended to try using the one based on ISOLINUX.

We have implemented the possibility to download the appropriate ISO file after logging in to your account (the serial number should be registered). Please log in to your account, go to the Registered products and downloads section -> Bootable media. Download the file.

You can find more information on how to burn an ISO image to a CD here

Please keep us informed.

Thank you.

Hello Oleg Lee,

We are facing the same as mentioned in the subject. But we are using the WinXP SP3 OS... and when I try to boot the machine with bootable media (Acronics) .. its just hanged..... at the same msg "Starting Acronic Loader....." Here I have created Bootable CD after installing the product and then cut.

Afterwards I directly download the .iso image (for Bootable purpose)
Product native bootable media
Build: #6053 Size: 35.31 MB
From web site.
And when I tried to Boot WInXP SP3 OS ..
we got 8 options options and we selected 1st options (Acronics True Image 2010 HOme) Then its stucked.
Loading ketnel.bat....................................
loading ramdisk.dat......

Then nothing happened.

even we tried 2 and 3 options ... nothing worked out.

Can you please help

Hello Sandeep,

Thank you for posting your question, I will be happy to help.

The issue needs a closer investigation. Could you please do the following?

Please boot the system from the CD created using the ISO file, wait for the boot options to appear. You will get the prompt at the bottom of the program window, type kernel.dat and hit Enter.

Make a digital photo of the latest strings and attach to your next post.

We are looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience.

Please do not hesitate to ask additional questions if the provided information is not clear or you need a further assistance.

Thank you.
