Dear Acronis-Comm,

I just talked via Chat with an Acronis-Support.

My problem is that we change every evening the Backup-USB HDD.
I am using Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 - Advanced Server (German) - Build 11.0.17318.

The Support said, that I can work with multiple external USB-HDDs ONLY when I'm using "simple naming" on my Backups.

BUT if I use simple naming I can't use storage-rules (I hope you call this so, I just translated the german words).

So he said, that I have to use Pre-Commands for deleting my backups.

I can't write such Batch-Files, I have no Idea how to do.

What I want is a Script, which delets me my backups if they are "older than xx days" or also if they are "more than xxx backups".

Is it possible to write such scripts and use them in the Pre-Command on each Backup I create (I have 6 Servers which will be backuped - every server in diferent time and day).

Please help me.

Hi Vincent,
Did you check http://www.acronis.com/support/documentation/ABR11/index.html#10701.html? There is no solution for "older than xx days" or "more than xxx backups" but this scenario still may meet your needs.

Hi Elenal,

it is not really that what I need.
But thx for your info about that.

My problem is that Backups will not run when USB-HDD is changed every evening in case of missing Backupdata written before.
(This said a supporter from Acronis).
