Setting "Network connection speed" crashes Linux Agent

Thread needs solution

Hello

The problem is simple. Setting the "Network connection speed" to anything other than 100% crashes the Linux Kernel module with an error such as:

service_process[31826] trap divide error ip:7fc07fe18022 sp:7fc04e3ebda0 error:0 in libDiskBundle.so[7fc07e9a2000+208a000]

Then, the backup for this particular virtual machine with the Agent silently fails - without any useful logs available under /var/lib/Acronis of the target machine itself, or in the Management Server.

Now, a few details about my environment:

The actual product is this: http://marketplace.redhat.com/rhev/5-Acronis-Backup-Recovery-Virtual-Ed… .

Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 Management Server (build 11.0.17454) running on a physical Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 machine.

Acronis Snapshot kernel API module version 0.7.64 and AcronisAgentLinux-41.0.21-1.x86_64 package on a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.3 with Kernel version 2.6.32-279.9.1.el6.x86_64 virtual machine running in a Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization 3.0.3 (RHEV 3.0) environment.

Does it work for you, whether under the same or reasonably invariant circumstances?

Thanks

Thank you for posting your question in our forum.

Please accept my apologies for the late reply.

I first checked your account and could see that you already have registered Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5 Virtual Edition for RHEV. I recommend using the latest available version if possible.

Unfortunately, I could not find any solution in our internal resources. I recommend upgrading to Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5 Virtual Edition for RHEV or contacting support in order to troubleshoot your issue. You can find your support options in our Customer handbook.

Because of being partner of Acronis, you will find your contact details in our partner portal at the tab support.
