Slow Acronis 10 Backup&Recovery
I'm using Acronis 10 to back up and recover volumes to and from an imagevault on our server.
Before we started using this, we were using standard .tib files, which were very fast and easy, although slightly unorganized.
It now takes a very long time using ImageVault. Where as it used to take half hour max to backup and recover in total, using ImageVault it now takes up to 4 hours maybe more. Is this normal or am I overlooking something? The equipment is the same, the server is the same, and the network connection is the same. ImageVault is the preferred option here, as it's easy to manage, but I'm not really interrested in waiting around for hours on end to upgrade someones machine.
Anyone with similar problems?

this shows up in the Acronis server log. Also get a message saying that detection of ASZ failed.
Nothing happens when i try to redetect it.
I'm sure this is related somehow, but i haven't really worked much with Acronis before, so i wouldn't know where to begin fixing it.

Hello Banoz!
Thank you for opening the thread and let me assist you with the question.
First of all I would like to apologize for the inconvenience met with the software. Currently the connection to the vault should be a bit slower than it was in the previous versions due to we send the request to the storage node and from the storage node to the vault - thus more components are involved. Anyway it shouldn't take so much time as it does in your case. I suspect here the drivers' issue, but still it is difficult to say for sure without the diagnostic information.
The error you have specified points on the issue we had in previous build and which is fixed in the latest, so I would advise you to remove current version you are running and install the newest build you can obtain from here.
In order to speed up uninstallation, you can use our Clean-Up Tool. The utility removes all Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Windows components locally from the machine. It does not perform remote uninstallation:
1. Download the utility and unpack it.
2. Hit Start -> Run, and type in cmd. Browse to the folder you saved the utility to;
3. Run the utility by issuing one the following command:
abr_cleanup.exe --clean
After that all the traces of Acronis Backup and Recovery product will be destroyed. This tool doesn't affect any other products, so it is absolutely safe to use it.
I would appreciate if you could kindly update us regarding the case after the reinstallation.
Should the issue persist, we will need some additional information for successful inverstigation, so could you please kindly provide us with
- Acronis Info
- exact sequence of actions that lead to the problem you report, so that we can reproduce it?
- information regarding where the vault is stored
Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!
Thank you in advance!
