Special Installation

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I have some questions I've got to ask, because I can't find the solution on google or by myself.

First of all, I want to Acronis in that way, that a User can't administrate his own backups, but I as the administrator should be able to Remote-Controll and administer his machine. He shouldn't have the Window for "Manage this machine", he should just see, that Acronis is installed, but he mustn't use it.

My second question is, which components I have to install, to have all required components to administer a machine and do backups and recoverys on them?

Thanks for your help,

Adriano

Hello,

As I understand, you would like to manage machines remotely, and at the same time  limiting users’ ability to manage the machine.

I will be glad to respond all your questions!

I advise you to install 2 components on target machines: Agent Core and agent for Windows. In this case user doesn’t have the console to manage his machine. By the way you can manage the backups of this machine remotely from you Management Server.

You can install components remotely http://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/AcronisBackup_11.7/#4879.html

Detailed information about centralized management you can see here http://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/AcronisBackup_11.7/#3253.html

Thank you for the answer,

Jap, that's what I want. But i tried to do it this way and it's still not working, because firewall problems etc. Is there another way to install the 3 components: AcronisAgentCore, AcronisAgendWindows and AcronisCommandLineTool. I would prefer to install them with a batch file, but I would be happy to hear new recommendations. I tried to install the 3 components with a batch file, after the installation they were on the computer, but the remote managemend wasn't available, because they weren't installed right.

Could you please help me again.

Best Regards,

Adriano
