System reboots during backup, backup failed.

Thread needs solution

Hi,
I'm using Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 for Windows (build 11.0.17440) and it worked very well for long time.
Some time ago it started to fail the backup as in the subject: the PC reboots during the creation of the disk image (full image of disk C: in a folder in D:), no matter whether in manual mode or as scheduled task.
The problem seems to occur about at 15% of the image creation, and the image is not complete. This is the error code I can read:

Lo stato del piano di backup è stato riparato.
Informazioni aggiuntive:
--------------------
Codice errore: 56
Modulo: 307
LineInfo: 77177bb7a9411b26
Campi: $module : agent_protection_addon_vs
Messaggio: Lo stato del piano di backup è stato riparato.
--------------------

I tried to uninstall and reinstall the software. It worked for the first time (I successfully got a complete disk image) but then it started to fail again as above.

What's wrong?
How can solve?

Thank you!

Best regards,
Marco A.

Hi Marco,

Thank you for your posting! More likely your system is configured to reboot after BSOD, so I assume that the OS crashes while the snapshot is created bevor the backup. You can check it, if you disable the automatic restart on system failure. All crashes are investigated directly by the development team and only on the latest product version, because every new update contains fixes for already discovered issues. I would recommend you to install a test version of Acronis Backup 11.5 and check if the issue is resolved. If not, you can contact our support team to investigate the issue on the trial installation.

Thank you,
