Hi Diego,
Server for Windows will not work with a tape drive anyway. You can backup to tape only with Advanced editions (Advanced Server, for example).

That's not true... I am working for years now with Acronis Backup&Restore standalone versions to tape backup my Windows Server (2003 and 2008 R2). There is no need for the advanced versions of B&R. I'm using a LTO3 tape and i have no problems with it.

Edit: According http://kb.acronis.com/content/21575 there is no support for the standalone versions in V11 anymore... But it works in my server...?

Hi Forellenblau,
LTO works for you because you have upgraded from V10. Those who start directly from V11 need an Advanced edition to back up to tapes.

Hi elenal!

Thanks for the advice! So it depends on the SN of V10 and the upgrade key to V11 if tape backup works with the standalone version - i didn't know that yet.
