TI 2009 loses backup site

Thread needs solution

Setup TI 2009 for weekly backup to a network hard drive (drive x). Have it set to start if statup time missed. Have a HD partitioned to drive c, e & f. NHD is setup for drive x with a directory of 'backup vista ...'. Every time it starts it gets file i/o error & its pointing to drive f. If i edit it to drive x it works. I have checked after the run & edit shows the archive is on drive x. So what is going on? HELP!

Hello Ted,

Thank you for using [[http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/ | Acronis True Image]]

When you map a drive, it becomes mapped only under your Windows account. Acronis True Image runs its tasks using the system account and so it is sometimes impossible to locate your mapped drive (especially when you are logged off).

Please use a full UNC path (e.g. \\server\share\) instead of a mapped drive.

You can also use a pre backup command to mount the mapped drive for an Acronis True Image scheduled task:

  1. Download map.drive.txt;
  2. Follow instructions in Using Batch Files in Acronis True Image.

Thank you.
