.tib to .vhd (in hyper-v) not starting!
I'm using Acronis Backup & recovery 10 server
I backup a complete server (windows 2008 enterprise r2 x64)
Then I convert the .tib to VHD with ABR 10 server
it gives me a .vhd and a .vmc (with true image I only had a .vhd and it was working in hyper-v)
When I try to create a new PC in hyper-v and then use the virtual disk I just convert.
it doesn't start!!!!!
I have many many many many problemes with win2008 R2 and ABR 10 server. Anyone else is having a lot of problemes also??

i'm using the latest build since i download the trial from your website yesterday.
When I start the VM in hyper-v all I get is a blinking cursor and the OS doesn't boot.
Is there any special things I need to do when I convert the .tib to .vhd.
It is quite different than in true image!
Now when I convert it, it creates a .vhd and a .vmc, in true image it creates a .vhd only...
thanks!

Hello tommy vallee,
Thank you for getting back to me.
There is no strict rules during the conversion, simply follow the steps in the recovery wizard. However, just in case, you can take a look on page 229 of our User Guide, Chapter 6.3.10, it has the conversion steps listed. Also, right after this chapter, the next one goes through troubleshooting steps why the converted OS is no longer bootable. The .vmc file is a virtual machine configuration file, it did not exist in Echo because the conversion process was different.
To make sure the issue is not in the image itself, can you try booting your virtual machine with the bootable CD and restore the initial .tib file to it. Should the machine be unbootable it is very likely that something is wrong with the image. If it is bootable, then the conversion process failed somehow and in this case, please submit a support request so that our Support engineers resolve this for you.
Let me know if you have additional questions.
Thank you.

not sure if this is what your issue is but if you want the embedded Universal Restore to work properly you need to use Backup and Recovery 10 Virtual edition to convert tib into Hyper-V. Only the Virtual editon will convert 2008 x64 images using the embedded Universal Restore.
