Hello Mike,

Thank you for using [[http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/ | Acronis True Image]]

Have you tried to assign a drive letter by means of internal Disk Management utility (Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management)? If not please do the following:

Make right-click on the appropriate hard drive and assign a drive letter.

If this doesn't help, please try to remount the hard drives in the registry:

Go to Start -> Run -> type regedit. Find the following registry key:

My computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices

At the right side of the window find \DosDevices\A, \DosDevices\B, etc. stings, make right-click and choose the Delete option. You should delete all  \DosDevices\ strings. After that reboot the computer. The operating system will re-assign the drive letters. After that please check if the issue remains.

If this doesn't help, pleased make sure that the external hard drive are plugged to the system. Please download Acronis Report utility available here and run it, create a report and attach to your next post.

This will provide us with detailed information the on the hard disk partition  structure.

Thank you.
