True Image 2009 image restore problem
I have used Acrionis for some time and when I needed it it didn't work properly. After a disc failure, I tried to restore a backed up image of my old 'C' drive. I prepared the new drive and installed windows and Acronis and then restored. After restoration, the structure on the new 'C' drive was a folder called System information. Immediately below it (nested) was a 'C' folder and from there on the contents of my old C drive. This was, of course not bootable.
I have had to resort to a full installation but I need to know what I did wrong so that I don't have this problem in future.
Can anybody help?

Hello Bill Cooke and bodgy,
Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.
1. Please reproduce the recovery from Standalone Version of Acronis, and choose partition to recover (I assume you created My Computer -> Disks and partitions backup)
2. Choose original drive for recovery and check the results
Please keep in mind that full information about recovery is available in 6 chapter of User's Guide, which can be downloaded here.
Thank you.
