Try to Backup network drive failed with 11.863.304(0xB50508)

Thread needs solution

we tried to Backup a network drive with Arconis for worstation, but it just failed:

Can you help us with this Problem.
Client OS Windows XP SP2
Server OS Debian 3
Connection over smb
Manualy test Backup (non schedueld) works fine.

I tried this yesterday before i post here, cause of the Error-Messeage "\\?\Z:\Buchhaltung" but in the Management Conlose, he doesent find the server. Unter the Windows-client everything in the Network works fine.

The funny thing ist that an non schuedele Backup works. *confused

If type UNC in the field and press the green arrow button - does it find it? The "run now" tasks, iirc, uses the context of the current login session where you mapped the drive, the scheduled task doesn't see it.

Same problem for me I'm afraid with no answer yet from Acronis after two weeks!

The problem appears to be that mapped drives are for user accounts - not machines in general and even if you run the task as the right user account, it fails - UNC paths DO NOT work as the source but do work as the target (Vault) - why this is the case is a mystery!

To resolve the issue please tick off Advanced view on the Create backup plan screen. Click Change next to Access credentials under Where to back up. 

Specify the credentials to get the access to the network share. After that run the task and see if the issue remains.

Would you be kind enough to briefly describe your backup scenario, where you are saving the backup and which build of Acronis Backup and Recovery 10 you are using.
