Uninstall Did not work
Hi,
I had ABR 10 for SBS2003 running (Build 11647). It was working fine and all of sudden, it would not back up a lot of file (just started to skip). I tried recreating backup job without any success. Then I downloaded the Build 13762 and installed/upgraded it. The issue still persisted. So, I decided to remove the software altogether and start afresh. After removing the software, I rebooted the server and tried to reinstall the Build 13762. It would give me options for removal or repair only. I get the following error when I select either of these options:
Code: 06442537
Line tag: 0x394351065f8e4bad
Message: Installation error.
Suberror
Code: 02
Line tag: 0xbd28fdbd64edb8bc
Message: The system cannot find the file specified
I started looking into 'Add/Remove Programs' and the registry. All the components were still present in the list of programs installed. Registry settings were still there; however, all the Acronis services were removed.
Bottoml;ine, I cannot proceed with removal or repair process. Can someone lead me the way to resolve this issue?
It will be greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Parm :)

Thank you so much, Yana.
I tried the utility but it did not appear to have done the job. Below is the result . How do I resolve 'The login failed' message at the end.

Hello Richard,
Thanks for keeping us posted.
Sorry it took so long to reply, I had to consult with the Development team.
We've tried to reproduce the problem in our lab, and found the following solution:
First of all make sure you're starting the command line from the Admin account. After that check the registry:
Start -> run -> regedit
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class{4D36E967-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\UpperFilters
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class{71A27CDD-812A-11D0-BEC7-08002BE2092F}\LowerFilters
You should see snapman there. Remove it.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\snapman\Start change to 3
Reboot the machine
And remove after the reboot
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\snapman
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Acronis\Snapman
After that the uninstallation should work.
Could you please try it and let me know the results? It's important for us to know that your machine is protected, so I'd like to guide this case till its complete resolution.
Thank you in advance for cooperation.

Hello Richard,
Thank you for keeping me posted.
That's quite weird... Do you mind sending me a copy of your registry (via PM, of course), and Acronis Info from the problem machine?
I think I'll need to consult our Developers, and this information will be very useful.
Thank you in advance for cooperation.
