Universal Restore with Backup & Recovery 10

Thread needs solution

Hi,
since yesterday I desperately trying to restore an Image taken from an HP DX2000 to a new HP Compaq 500b with universal restore. I tried putting the chipset-drivers on an USB Stick (according to the acronis log theyre being used), but with no luck at all: I´m getting BSODs when booting. (Mostly IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL or stop errors).

When booting in safe mode, i can install all the drivers but it won´t help the next time i´m starting Windows normal. The OS is Windows XP SP3.

Any help would be appriciated since this is on of those "This-PC-can-never-die-because-the-companies-existence-relies-on-it" machines.

Thanks & bye
Philipp

Hello Philipp,

Thank you for posting your question, I will be happy to help.

To find the exact reason of the issue we need several diagnostic files. To provide you with the instructions on how to collect them I should know the following:

- Have you added the latest drivers available for now from the respective web site during the recovery (*.inf or *.oem files are supported only)?
- Please boot the computer from a Windows installation CD, hit F6 when prompted and check out whether the drivers work there. Check if the RAID/HDD is detected.
- Please try to boot after restore with Acronis Universal Restore to Safe Mode and export this registry folder:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet
We are looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience. Please let me know if the provided information is not clear or if you have any other question.
Thank you.
