Universal restore Critical Database message

Thread needs solution

Im trying to carryout a universal recovery of an image from an old dell intel machine to a new dell amd machine using Acronis Backup & recovery Advanced Workstation 10.

Im getting

"No critical database updated for 'NO_DRV_X.Services'.
'NO_DRV_MBRES.Services'.
NO_DRV_X.Services.'
NO_DRV.Services.'
NO_DRV.Services.'
NO_DRV_MEM.Services.'
NO_DRV_PIC.Services.'
NO_DRV_X.Services.'
NO_DRV_X.Services.'
NO_DRV_X.Services.'
These are scattered throughout the logs.

I also get about 40 other warning messages stating that the data is invalid.

"Error Code" |----------Additional Info: Error Code 200|

I brought this software yesterday.

Here is what I have tried.

I have re-imaged the drive at 50% speed.
I have used all the drivers that came on the CD when I purchased the computer.
I have tried recovering using BartPE.
If tried sysprep.
If tried running an xp repair before and after imaging.

I end up with an outcome of Success with warnings. I also notice that after getting to the 50% progress mark it speeds up to 100%

When I pop in the drive to the new computer I just get a blue screen. I can boot to the log in screen in safe mode but my mouse and keyboard wont function.

You help is greatly appreciated.

Hello Steve!

Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response and for the inconvenience with the software. I completely share your concerns, and will be glad to guide the case till its complete resolution.

According to the information you have kindly provided us with it looks like the issue was caused by the mess in the drivers. In order to resolve the issue  I would advise you to restore the image once again with the help of the new Bootable Media I have sent you via PM. Please kindly pay attention to these instructions as well. Also please make sure that you are using the drivers of the mass storage device only (chipset, RAID controller). Please note that they should be unpacked to be in *.oem and *.inf drivers.

Should the issue persist, we will need some additional information. Could you please kindly gather the following for us?

  1. Acronis Linux Report
  2. Text message of BSOD
  3. Log after the operation is completed (View log -> Save all to)
  4. Please capture Windows Regisrty for us. Please do the following to take Windows registry from the target system (that is, the system to which the image was restored):

        * Create an Acronis True Image Bootable CD. The CD is used because in most cases the problem systems cannot boot into Windows.
        * Boot the computer under consideration from the created Acronis True Image Bootable CD
        * Create files/folders backup of \Windows\System32\Config\SYSTEM file
        * Send us the created *.tib file

Please do the following to take Windows registry from the source system (there are two ways to do this):

        * You can perform the same exact steps described above for capturing registry from target system and send us the *.tib file
        * Or since the source system registry is already backed up as a part of a full hard disk drive or partition backup, you can simply restore \Windows\System32\Config\SYSTEM file from the image and send us the restored files/folders.

So, we need two Windows registry exports: from source system and from target system.

  5. Please gather Acronis Report.

Kindly contact us with the information gathered, we will review it and provide you with the solution!

Thank you!
