Universal Restore of Windows XP from virtual to Laptop-Stuck on Mup.sys in safe mode

I recently tried to restore a backup from a Vmware virtual machine to a Laptop which does not support booting off USB or have a CD/DVD drive, the only option was PXE. So I managed to create a VM with all the required software (AV, programs, etc.) and performed a back up through Acronis (Via PXE, after removing Vmware drivers) and successfully backed up the image.I then proceeded to restore it to the laptop via PXE and selected universal restore and then restored. once the restore was compete i restarted the laptop only to find it at a black screen before the Windows XP boot logo. After another restart I booted to safe mode and it then gets stuck at loading the MUP.sys driver indefinitely.
