Update full system disk backup

Thread needs solution

Hi!

I made a backup of my system disk half a year ago(successfully) onto another harddisk and assigned C: for it to be able to run the system right away after my current working system disk crashed.

So , now i want to update this backup. Is this possible to just plug it in(although it is C:)and make an incremantal backup or will i have to make a full backup again?

Thank you.

Hello Stefan,

Thank you for using [[http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/ | Acronis True Image]]

Technically you can plug the hard drive and create an incremental backup file.

Please note that after half a year the system has been changed noticeably, and the size of the incremental archive will be of the same size as if you create a full one. That's why if you don't need the information stored into the old archive, you can remove it and create a new full backup.

Thank you.
