Upgraded to win 7 ultimate and now True Image 11 says by .tib files are NOT acronis backups!

Thread needs solution

I just did a clean install (with a format of by hard drive) of Windows 7 Ultimate. Now my backups of Acronis True Image home 11 say that the backups I did just before the upgrade are corrupt or are not acronis backups. I tried mounting them as images, etc. I need some direction.

Are you using the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows 7?

TI 11 does not support Windows 7 so there may be problems. Can you Explore the images?

Are the backups still reported as valid if you boot to the TI CD and check them?

Hello all,

Let me clarify this situation for you.

Generally, Windows 7 is not supported by Acronis True Image 11 Home. If you wish to use our software with this system, please try Acronis True Image Home 2010, the functional limitation of Acronis True Image trial version is that you can only use a software for 15 days. Windows version is fully functional  and it does not have any more limitations. Bootable CD from trial version can be used for recovery only.

Please check this article for the detailed information about Windows 7 support.

If you wish to recover your backups from 11 version, please try using Standalone Version of the product, it should help.

you're kidding right? this acronis is okay for backup if you never need it... JUNK
