This may take a bit of understanding but here goes. Is it possible to a) Create an Acronis USB bootable flash drive (8gb) and create (backup), store and run (install) a windows XP image from the same drive?

In reality if my machine has a problem I want to be able to plug in my USB flash drive, get to the recovery section and recover from an image stored on the flash drive, I do not want to have to also plugin another usb device CDROM etc.

I have the same problem. But im also searching for a possibility to connect to ah machine over the network. In Storagecraft, you can do this over VNC.
