Thread needs solution

Just purchaced ABR 10 and made a boot usb using the HP usb boot format program using Dos 6.22 then adding the acronis bootable media creator.
just boots up to the backup screen then when I hit backup it just stays on the acronis blue screen. and shows the error unable to create the inital ram disk, do I need to have some kind of usb driver loaded into my boot media.
Please advise

am using a kingston 2gig usb stick on a super micro server with 2 gig ram

Hello Brian,

Thank you for finding time to join us and report about the issue. I understand your concern, and will be glad to help.

The error you receive is related to the incorrectly written linux kernel (Acronis Bootable Media is Linux-based). Unfortunately due to the lack of sufficient investigation information it is hard to identify the exact cause of the problem, so the situation requires investigation. But before we proceed with it, I would like to offer you a workaround:

please create the bootable USB drive according to these instructions.

This should help to resolve the issue.

Should the problem remain or if you have any concerns, please contact our support directly, they will help you to recreate the bootable media and make sure it's working properly.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you!

I am trying to restore a NetBook using a USB recovery boot media. Backups and USB recovery stick created with Acronis 12. However when booting from USB stick I just get error message "unable to create ram disk" followed by "unable to load kernel".

Help please
