Thread needs solution

I have a problem with authentication Acronis Agents on QNAP samba share.
I have Acr Advanced Workstation 11.0.17440, Domain controler, Qnap with samba share.
On Qnap is user Advanced Agent User with "password" , password on workstation is changet too to "password"
But when I log in into management console on DC 2003 (unmanaged valut created \\qnap\backup named QNAP1)
and then dirrect connect to Agent on XP, clisck on Storage QNAP1 ..login failure, when i look on LOG file SAMBA , there is very strange log. ser=[@]

netbios connect: name1=QNAP 0x20 name2=PCSK104 0x0
Got user=[@] domain=[] workstation=[PCSK104] len1=24 len2=24
Got user=[] domain=[] workstation=[PCSK103] len1=1 len2=0
netbios connect: name1=SSK1NAS02 0x20 name2=PCSK118 0x0
question: q_name=PCSK111<20> q_type=32 q_class=1
additional: nmb_name=PCSK111<20> rr_type=32 rr_class=1 ttl=300000

Then I have to manulay change username (acronis agent user) and pass (password) and then it can connect, but after disconectin from Manager credentials is lost. Scheduled backup fails too, because of bad login

Thanks

 Hello Marcel,

thank you for posting. I will be glad to assist you with this issue.

The reason why after the Management Console is restarted, the credentials for the share have to be specified anew is a small size of the credentials storage used in Acronis Backup and Recovery 11. The Management Console does not manage to save all used credentials and overwrites the less important ones. The issue is resolved on Acronis Backup and Recovery 11.5 with a permanent storage for credentials from last connection.

To temporary resolve the issue in Acronis Backup and Recovery 11, you can delete the storage on the machine, where the Acronis Backup and Recovery 11 Management Console is installed. Follow the instructions from the Solution part of this KB article. Also make sure that the credentials cash is enabled in the Management Console, here is the online help topic: Credentials cache

The issue with the failing backup has another cause not connected to the described above. Credentials for the backup destinations are encrypted and saved to the backup plan, that is deployed directly to the machine or created there. In order to resolve the issue with the backup, make sure that the credentials are specified correctly for the NAS, according to this online help topic: Access credentials for archive location. And investigate this as a separate issue analyzing the logs from the backup failure.

Should you need additional help, let me know.

Thank you.
