User does not have rights to change schedule tasks // owner is installer, not creator

Thread needs solution

Hallo Acronis Community,

Benutzergruppe "Backup Operator // Sicherungsoperator"

Hat jemand eine Idee?

Freundliche Grüße
Danny Sandner

Hi Acronis Community,

I've installed Acronis Backup and Recovery 11 Trial Version at a user with my account (run as).
Now he has created two schedule task, but he can not change or delete them. Owner of both task am I, even though he created them with his own account.
Next problem is, he just can create two schedule tasks.
As Acronis FAQ said, the Trial version has no restrictions on windows.
The user is in the local group "backup operators".
Any ideas?

best regards
Danny Sandner

Hi Danny,
no wonder that Backup Operator (user) cannot modify a task owned by Administrator (you). But how did it happen that Administrator owns the task? Could you please provide details how exactly " he created them with his own account."

hi elenal
thanks for your answer.
He is a normal User, I am an Administrator. To backup the System, you need to be at least Backup Operator. But I can not give him more rights than Backup Operators (GPO). So I've installed Acronis remote on his computer by using runas and my admin account. Before, I've gave him Backup Operator rights.
After all, he restart the computer (I guess :) ), logged in with is account (local USER and Backup Operator) and created two tasks. In both task the owner is my administrator account.

Danny,
Normally Acronis installs without a restart and opens the console immediately after installation. Could it be that the console window appeared and he created his tasks during the session started under your account. Not a big help, but no other guesses.

Ok. Problem solved.
As you said, the problem was he not restart the computer.

I've deleted the tasks with my account and let him create some tasks with his account. Those he can edit and delete.
Thanks for help :)

Glad to hear the problem is solved. Normally, restart is not required. He could just close the console window opened by the installer and run the console by himself.
